Transport Specialist - USA (part-time / contracted)

GoHammerhead designs, manages, and executes VIP transportation at large international sports events. Our on-site team participates in events around the world, including Formula 1, MotoGP, Super Bowl, Kentucky Derby, and numerous other events!

Our young, dynamic team has a passion for transportation, travel, and hospitality. To maintain our commitment to exceeding our clients' expectations on a larger scale, we are seeking Transport Specialists to join our team.

We are looking for Transport Specialists who can attend at least 2-4 events per year in the US, Mexico, and Canada. All positions are contract-based and can be balanced with your studies or other part-time or full-time positions.

What will your role be?

As a Project Coordinator (Transport Specialist) at GoHammerhead, your primary responsibility will be managing on-site event transportation needs. We have an extensive network of local suppliers who provide us with luxury vehicles and professional drivers, but it's your role to coordinate these drivers for a particular client.

  • In conjunction with your colleagues and our Event Manager, you'll prepare transport schedules, liaise with vehicle suppliers, examine driving routes, apply decals to vehicles, and much more. Our team usually arrives 3-4 days before the event begins, meaning you'll be on-site for a total of 7-8 days per event.
  • Our clients include marketing agencies, large international corporations, sponsors, and media outlets. Their event programs can range from hosting 1-500 guests and vary significantly in complexity. For larger events, we deploy over 30 team members on-site to ensure the highest possible level of service.
  • GoHammerhead covers your flight, accommodation, and meals. Plus, you'll receive additional compensation per event!

Who are we seeking?

We're searching for a team player who thrives in diverse teams and enjoys working with people from various backgrounds. You're proactive, willing to assist your colleagues when needed, and resilient under stress. You should be capable of handling long, irregular working hours and high workloads. You will operate in an international environment where you'll be away from home for a week at a time.

  • You should be flexible and available for at least 2-4 events per calendar year
  • A valid driver's license and substantial driving experience
  • Given the customer-centric nature of the role, hospitality experience would be a significant advantage
  • Live in the Charlotte, NC area or be able to attend a selection day in Charlotte, NC (United States) - date TBC after your application
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for VISA sponsorship

Education & Experience:

Most of our event staff team is in their junior or senior year of college, in graduate school, or recently graduated.

While prior experience in hospitality is not a necessity, it is definitely beneficial. What matters most is your proactivity, good organizational skills, effective communication abilities with customers and colleagues, and an intrinsic motivation to provide high-quality service. We'll teach you the rest in a positive team atmosphere.

What we offer:

  • Fixed compensation per event, depending on the number of days
  • Opportunities for growth within our expanding company
  • A fantastic, dynamic working atmosphere and friendly colleagues at locations in the US, Mexico, Canada, and potentially overseas
  • Unique experiences at prestigious events worldwide
  • Coverage for travel expenses, accommodation costs, and meals

We will organize a selection day (date TBC), in Charlotte, NC. Your attendance at this selection day is mandatory to be considered for this position.
